PRIVATE DENTAL PRACTITIONERS & STAFF LISTING FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION
Dear esteemed dental practitioners,
Warmest greetings from the Malaysian Dental Association.
As mentioned earlier, MDA is supporting Oral Health Program, Ministry of Health Malaysia, in the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination for all dental practitioners and also their supporting staff in the private sector. The Association sincerely hopes that all dental practitioners will be included in the first phase of its implementation. Hence, on this note, a singular, comprehensive survey will be the way forward to provide as near accurate as possible the data required for the Ministry of Health to prepare this exercise.
I humbly request all private dental practitioners to take part in this survey and also to disseminate the survey to your colleagues so that none is left behind. Kindly submit the form by 12.00pm on Sunday, 24th January 2020.

Dear esteemed dental practitioners,
Greetings from Malaysian Dental Association. I wish to thank all our fellow colleagues who have already participated in the above survey. As mentioned earlier in our messages, this survey is indeed important as the data collected would be presented to Ministry of Health Malaysia in the hope to aid in the implementation of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination programme. Of course, participation in this survey is not in any way a guarantee for receiving the vaccine. Dental services, an essential service indeed, for the Rakyat should continue to be provided even in this challenging time of the pandemic which is truly unprecedented. Putting on hold any dental treatment is not an option and may ultimately render the disease / condition escalating to a more serious state and often more difficult and costly to treat, a situation best avoided as far as possible especially in this time. Hence, there is a need for equal opportunity for vaccination to be extended to all dental practitioners, even to those in the private sector.
In order for the data to be as clean as possible and to be truly verified, due to limited doses in the initial phase of implementation, we need your e-copy of the Annual Practising Certificate (2020, or 2021) to be uploaded. Your auxiliary personnel (supporting staffs) are equally important as team and hence, for the purpose of verification too, we need the e – copy of your “Perkeso Borang 8a” to be uploaded. We understand the limitation of the survey system, the hassle to upload these documents and problems faced by newly opened / to be open private dental clinics and many others. We will try our very best to continue collecting data for those who are not eligible to be included in this survey. At the moment, we have yet to be informed on the details on the implementation of the vaccination program for dental professionals or where we will fall in the hierarchy of vaccine delivery. We sincerely hope that we could all be included in the first phase of the plan or at least be in the front queue like our medical counterparts. Your kind understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.
