I had been suffering silently from "ugly" smiles with crooked and crowded teeth. I dreaded taking photos as each one turned out to be a disaster, resulting in me developing a phobia for photography. Gradually, I lost confidence and naturally many friends stayed away from me. :(

One day, I was recommended by a friend for treatment at Smile 'R' Us Dental Clinic. I was told that the clinic was very popular and I had to make prior appointment. The receptionist, Susan, was very professional. She scheduled me at the earliest slot and there I was, approaching the "Big" day for transformation in my life. :shock:

Upon arrival at the clinic in the early morning, I was greeted with cheerful and warm smiles. Susan explained the treatment procedures and possible options recommended by the dentist so that I was aware what to expect. I was led into the lounge where 3 others were already waiting. There was soothing, piped in music as well as newspapers and magazines on the table for our leisure reading while waiting in line. They made me feel comfortable and "home sweet home". The place was very clean and there was barely any dust. There was an informative poster on the glass window displaying the types of food and beverages with high sugar content and carried a warning on obesity, diabetes and tooth decay. 

Soon, my queue number was called. The assistant nurse asked me to sit upright on the dental chair. I felt nervous and my palm was sweating. :sick: I was worried I might not be able to regain a beautiful smile or perhaps I might have to endure some painful procedures. I guessed the dentist, Dr. Steven Lee, might have sensed my uneasiness and he asked me to relax. He enquired about my concerns and immediately knew what to do by looking carefully at each of my tooth and gently touching and checking its condition. Finally, he recommended me to go for a 2-year orthodontic treatment and I didn't even need to have any of my teeth extracted at all. I thought, "Cool!" He saved my healthy teeth! :D

Since then, I started my monthly regular treatment. Dr. Steven Lee was patient and worked with his steady hands. His voice was assuring and calm. Hygiene was his main priority as he always made sure he washed his hands, sanitized and put on new gloves before every treatment. He was extremely delicate and skillful, besides being very patient and kind.  I knew I could leave my teeth in his good hands. :) As they say, the rest is history.

The results were more than satisfactory. Now, I am proud with my beautiful, stunning smile. I love to flash a big wide smile each time I pose in front of the camera and I am getting obsessed with taking selfies! Gone were my ugly, awful and unsightly smiles! Thanks to Dr. Steven Lee who has shown his commitment in achieving the highest standard of dental care.
