Dear Tooth fairy Clinic and to whom that may concern. 

A review from my past visit

Context:

I visited your clinic last Sunday 30th January 2022 with 2 appointments which are Morning at 10.30 and 3.30 in the evening

Let’s start with the good pointers first. 

I chose your clinic based on the customers review and past 2 visits to the clinic. The first visit was an excellent experience which was 4 years ago and the second visit is with moderate experience. 

My recent experience however put me into the mix feeling. It is undeniable that your hospitality and customer service throughout the visit is as advertise and as per the reviews by your other customers.

The dentist that treat me at that time has given me a clear detail on my teeth condition and the treatment proceed accordingly. As I am putting my trust on the expert so I agreed with the diagnostic and proceed with the treatment that she has proposed. 

Now here is the cons of my experience throughout the procedure.

With context, I knew that the dentist that treat me on that session is not a permanent dentist but a subs for the clinic as the permanent dentists are on leaves. 

I was hoping to do teeth filling treatment of my previous root canal treatment and also another filling for my upper tooth.

However after she did scaling for my tooth (even though I did not request for it and i assume that is a standard procedure and I go along with it) She mentioned that my upper tooth cannot go through the filing procedure as it needed the root canal treatment. 

Again I am trusting the expert so I mentioned that I am not aware of the issue and my schedule is packed until March for the treatment . As she insisted that it is a serious issue so I agreed to do the treatment in the evening at 3.30 PM

On my second visit at 3.30 PM, she took an X Ray and mentioned the need of the Root Canal Treatment and so I am convinced and mentioned just to get along with the treatment. 

Everything was fine when she starts the procedure however she stop in the middle of it and start to tell me that the probability success of the Root Canal Treatment is low dues to the infected area has affected the lower gum ( To be entirely honest I am not sure what is the true input here as I do not the expert)
She mentioned that as the probability success  of the treatment is low hence for the next 2 years afterwards I may need to go for tooth extraction eventually. As it seems that the treatment is not worth the money so I asked what are the best options here and she mentioned its better to have tooth extraction procedure and proceed with denture afterwards. 

The main issue are the whole experience during the treatment is itself. I am not sure is it because the nurses are inexperience or the Dentist is a subs, but throughout the treatment it seems very chaotic as the nurse unable to apprehend the Dr instruction from requesting the right tools until to do a proper suction. There are a few times when the suction is left at my upper throat. Throughout the treatment I tried to keep calm and even though I am very anxious  while experiencing the chaotic vibe during the treatment. This happened not only on the first treatment during the filling procedure  but also during the pre root canal treatment and the tooth extraction procedure. In my mind I just want to get it over with make sure it is done without any complication

So what is the cost here based on my experience. No 1, it  costed my trust with all the diagnostic and the treatment plus the follow up treatment that was offered by this clinic. Even though I agreed upon the tooth extraction procedure, I am regretting my choice as I hope there a chance for me to seek for second opinion if the diagnostic stated that it is not urgent. Which lead to the second suspicion is the clinic treatment is seeking to extract more money from their patient for the follow up treatment. If it possible to do a temporary filling for my tooth and give some space to think would be great to the very list give me the right amount of time to make the right decision  without regretting permanently loosing my tooth. the Dentist mentioned and I quote, “ We can still proceed with the Root Canal treatment with low chance of success  but this will be up entirely to the patients responsibilities of the treatment success.” The miss-diagnostic and lack of treatment options put me in a dire situation to make the right decision even though there is a short apology for it.  

No 2, during the treatment itself I cannot shake away my anxiousness as per the issue that mentioned above. It cause me to be worried and scared if the treatment goes wrong in some way. No patient should feel on how I felt that day during the procedure. The warning of the expected pain was alerted after it happened rather than before which lead to my disappointment. 

To sum up the review. I will not bring this review to public or media social as the clinic itself has a good reputation with the previous customer, possibly it is not my luck during my last visit. All I asked is to acknowledge this review and I do hope that this review will help the clinic to improvise the procedures and treatment for the future patient. I just need a sense of closure so that I don’t keep hard feelings towards this clinic. However, my future visit to this clinic might be a whole as i do not want to go through similar experience anymore.
